Wendy Williams announced her divorce from her husband, Kevin Hunter, on her talk show Monday. She recognized her irony of being the “hot topic” of her own show. “It’s crazy ’cause now my business is your business,” Williams said. “It’s kind of funny. Turnabouts a fair game, I get it,”.
On Monday’s show, she broke her silence about divorcing her husband of 20 years and starting a new life dedicated to spending more time with her son, Kevin Jr., while continuing her journey of sobriety. Hunter is an executive producer for her show and Williams had to dance around the name but made it clear that their marriage was indeed coming to an end.
In an additional announcement, her audience cheered as she stated having a few days left at a sober house.“Everybody has things in their life that they’re embarrassed to share with the world, or they’re frightened to share with the world, or they’re not ready to share with the world and addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life,” she said.
While in her room with no TV, or cellphone at bay, Williams described coming up with a new plan for her and her son’s future without her soon-to-be ex-husband.
