THERE’S A NEW MALE BIRTH CONTROL PILL
The idea of male birth control has been teased for years, however, according to Live Science article, it’s at long last turning into a reality in India. The injectable contraception is known as “RISUG” (reversible restraint of sperm under direction), has finished clinical trial in India and trials were conducted on more than 300 men, and successfully prevented pregnancy in 97% of the members.
RISUG is a polymer gel that is infused into the vas deferens and physically blocks sperm from going through. It can last as long as 13 years, it can also be turned around with another shot that dissolves the gel. Authorities in India trust it will take about a large portion of a year for RISUG to get endorsements expected to fabricate the gel. A similar medication called Vasalgel is being worked on in the United States. It has effectively avoided pregnancy in monkeys, yet to be tested in humans.
