NBA STARS DONATING SALARIES TO HELP STADIUM STAFF AND ORGANIZATION

In an effort to help out others during this NBA hiatus, Kevin Love announced on Instagram that he’ll be donating $100,000 to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ arena and staff supporters. Shortly after his announcement, the team revealed that it will be compensating all Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse employees “as if every game and every event is still taking place.”

Well, it appears that Love’s kind gesture has inspired other stars in the NBA to follow his lead. Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo announced that he’ll be donating a portion of his salary to the Fiserv Forum staff.

“It’s bigger than basketball! And during this tough time I want to help the people that make my life, my family’s lives and my teammates lives easier,” Antetokounmpo wrote on Twitter. “Me and my family pledge to donate $100,000 to the Fiserv Forum staff. We can get through this together!” This is truly an amazing gesture from all players! #Streetz945atl #NBA #Basketball
