Gucci Mane Apologizes To Atlantic Records After Calling Them Racists: I Will Do Better

After calling out his record label for being racists, rapper Gucci Mane (real name Radric Delantic Davis),40, is now publicly apologizing to Atlantic Records for his “rude, harsh language” on Twitter. He also announced that he will be staying with the record company. In his apology tweet, Gucci Mane stated:

I’m not going independent but so respect those who go that route I apologize for my rude harsh language lately I’m a do better #1017/Atlantic

Last month (June), Gucci Mane announced on Twitter that he was leaving Atlantic Records this summer. The 40-year-old artist has been with the record label since 2016. A year into his deal, Gucci Mane thanked Atlantic Records and announced his $10 million dollar extension with the label. He stated: Thank You @Atlantic Records for the 10 million dollar extension #ELGATOTheHumanGlacier I appreciate It sincerely

He has released eight projects in total, including six full-length albums. Since the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed while in police custody, people nationwide have called for an end to systematic racism and social injustice. This includes the music industry.

Regarding his label being racists, the rapper tweeted:
