STREETZ HAS THE LATEST NEWS ON THE BET AWARDS!
Movie award winner Tyler Perry said more than a mouthful. The BET Awards presented him with the Ultimate Iconic Awards and congratulated him on his success. Mr. Perry mentioned alot in regards to motivation that many needed to hear. He put emphasis on the fact that he didn’t only want to be an icon, but an inspiration. His message of empowerment was enforced to shed light on people who have their own goals or ambitions. “It’s important for all of us. We got to do it.” His prestigious award from BET is only Tyler’s latest accomplishment, in addition to him exposing prolonged upcoming projects. Atlanta rapper T.I. also had a choice of words, but not towards Tyler Perry’s success. T.I. pays tribute to Crenshaw rapper Nipsey Hussle after sadly being shot in front of his self owned business. He claims Hussle left a legacy and blueprint for us all to follow. “He was a revolutionary. His emphasis on the power of equity and ownership created a blueprint for artists to follow. He was our blessing.” His daughter was in tears as T.I. speaks on Nipsey’s legacy and wisdom. Not only was Nipsey appreciated, but Rihanna shared a brief tribute to Mary J. Blige showing her hard work and dedication. Mary won the Lifetime Achievement Award for remaining a figure of her inspiration, transformation and significant empowerment.
