Slick wrote: ‘How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it.’ But showing her sense of humor even in the most heartbreaking of situations, Slick joked with the hashtag: ‘#atleastimalreadybald.’ Slick didn’t exactly say what type of cancer she has, but she reportedly told The Shade Room that she is ‘battling stage 3 melanoma cancer’ and that it is allegedly ‘spreading’. Slick stated she is ‘fighting for her life’. The American model, who is a mother to one-year-old son Saphir, was flooded with well-wishes from fans and her celebrity friends, including actress Taraji P Henson who wrote: ‘You are already on the other side of this heathy and strong like it never happened. I adore you.
