August Alsina is addressing his rumored relationship with Jada Pinkett-Smith. In an interview with Angela Yee, the 27-year-old singer seemingly admits to having a romantic relationship with the 48-year-old actress that is married to Will Smith. Referring to Jada, Will and their family he says:
I love those people like my family. I don’t ever have bad thing to say about them. They are beautiful people.
During the conversation, he admits that his heart space was blocked:
I don’t really have a choice but to express my truth.
He says that at one point, he had a conversation with Will Smith about the situation.
I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation, due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership – that they’ve spoken on several times. And it not involving romanticism – He gave me his blessing – I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life.
And I truly and really, really deeply loved and have a ton of love for her.
He says,
I devoted myself to it. So much so that I can die right now and be okay with knowing that I truly gave myself to someone. I really loved a person….
When asked if its disappointing that Jada never addressed their situation. He says,
I really can’t even, I never even can get into the thought of that because I’m only responsible for myself, right? I’m only responsible for what I do.
