DJ Illmatic Beats is a Norfolk-raised representative of the vibrant hip-hop and radio scene. He began DJing at the young age of 14, quickly developing a passion for music and mixing. From 2003 until 2018, he was a familiar voice on the airwaves, hosting shows on various radio stations. After a hiatus to focus on touring as a DJ, he returned to radio, now rocking the decks on Streetz 87.7 and 102.1 FM. Illmatic Beats is best known as the official DJ for Malice, a member of the acclaimed rap duo The Clipse. Beyond the music world, he also brings his skills to the political stage, serving as the DJ for Virginia’s first female governor, Abigail Spanberger, and her team. Having performed across all seven cities in Virginia and beyond, DJ Illmatic Beats continues to energize crowds with his unique blend of experience and hometown pride.
