The revelation comes a few months after Thugger confirmed that his next project Punk is in the works. In an August interview with GQ, Young Thug claimed that the follow-up to his So Much Fun album would arrive “within two months.” However, since the project has yet to arrive, the YSL Records founder, who hit the festival circuit earlier this year, appears to have pushed the date back into 2020.
While he did speak on his next solo album, there’s still no confirmation on the status of his joint album with Juice WRLD who passed away on Dec. 8. During an interview with Big Boy’s Neighborhood back in August, Thugger was asked if the project exists After he confirmed the project’s existence, the rapper asserted that it would be a few months before it was ready.
“He’s magical,” Thug said about Juice. “He doesn’t just wanna put out [an album] out, we’re doing a sketch, we’re doing a 45-minute movie with this album.” It’s now unclear if the project will ever see the light of day.
While Thugger’s revealed the intended release month for his new album—which could be either his Punk album or a collaboration project with Future, Lil Baby and Gunna— Thugger hasn’t revealed the exact date.
