ATLANTA — Quality Control Music co-founder and CEO Pierre “P” Thomas is alive and receiving medical care after suffering a heart attack, as his family and record label push back against false reports circulating online about his condition.
Thomas was hospitalized following the medical emergency, with Quality Control confirming that the influential Atlanta music executive remains alive and under doctors’ care. The label has asked supporters to keep Thomas and his family in their thoughts while respecting their privacy during his recovery.
Thomas’ mother also addressed the situation publicly after rumors spread on social media claiming that her son had died. She strongly denied those reports and said Thomas is recovering, although he remains in serious condition.
During her comments, Thomas’ mother also made an unverified allegation that she believes another person may somehow be responsible for what happened to her son. No evidence supporting that claim has been publicly released, and authorities or medical officials have not announced any finding suggesting that someone caused Thomas’ heart attack.
Thomas has played a major role in Atlanta’s hip-hop industry since launching Quality Control Music with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013. The label helped develop and support the careers of major artists including Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty and City Girls, becoming one of the most influential labels to emerge from Atlanta during the past decade.
