Kevin Hart just got ordered to abide by a pretty big settlement agreement after his former business partners accused the comedian of cheating them out of commission on a few deals he did without them. After two years of dragging along this $1.8 million case, the judge finally made the decision, “that the defendants shall remit payment to the plaintiff in the total amount of $701,539.73 within sixty (60) days of the date of this Order.” iGo Marketing and Entertainment, Hart’s former business partners, claimed their deal with Hart called for them to get paid 15% on any deal they negotiated for Hart. The executives insist they secured a number of endorsement deals including partnerships with bosses at Miller-Coors, Coke-Zero, Vitamin Water, Electronic Arts, and Caesars Entertainment. Back in 2017, iGo Marketing & Entertainment sued Hart claiming they entered into a deal with him to negotiate marketing and celebrity tie-in deals on his behalf and he was true to his contract until he signed with Rally Healthcare in 2015. During the trial, Hart argued that he never signed a written agreement with iGo execs and even counter-sued them for using his likeness on their marketing tools and website without his permission. Unfortunately, he failed to argue his defense and must pay iGo within two months. iGo has represented many other celebrities such as Jerry Seinfeld, Jamie Foxx, John Legend and many others.
