Great American Picnic & Fireworks – Town Point Park
Friday, July 4, 5–10 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Free event with live military brass bands, food vendors and fireworks over the Elizabeth River.

Virginia Beach


Independence Day Celebration – Mount Trashmore Park
Friday, July 4, 5–10 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Free admission with food trucks, bounce houses and live music. On-site parking costs $10–$20.

Stars & Stripes Concert Series – Oceanfront 
Friday, July 4, 7–11 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Live performances at 17th, 24th and 31st Streets with fireworks launched from a barge offshore.

Chesapeake


Celebrate Freedom – Chesapeake City Park
Thursday, July 3, 4 p.m.–after dark; fireworks at sunset
Free family-friendly event with music and fireworks. Parking is $10.

South Norfolk 4th of July Parade & Picnic – Lakeside Park
Friday, July 4, parade 10 a.m.–noon, picnic until 3 p.m.
Community parade on Bainbridge Boulevard followed by a family picnic.

Portsmouth


Shaggin’ 4th of July Waterfront Celebration – High Street Landing
Friday, July 4, 5–9:30 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
Live beach music from the Original Rhondels and fireworks over the Elizabeth River.

Stars in the Sky – Victory Landing Park

Festivities include an 8K run on the Historic Yorktown Battlefield Tour Road.

Fourth of July Parade –Townwide
Friday, July 4, 9 a.m.–10 a.m.
The parade will feature floats, classic cars, historical interpreters, and more.

Independence Day Celebration – Riverwalk Landing
Friday, July 4, 9 a.m.–9:30 p.m.; fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
Festivities include an 8K run, parade, bell-ringing ceremony, concert and fireworks on the York River.

Liberty Celebration–American Revolution Museum at Yorktown
Friday, July 4, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy interpretive programs and artillery demonstrations.
