HOLLYWOOD, CA — Nia Long has officially earned her place on one of Hollywood’s most famous landmarks.
The veteran actress received the 2,857th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 16, 2026, recognizing her contributions to motion pictures and a career spanning more than three decades. Her star is located at 6150 Hollywood Boulevard.
Long was surrounded by family, friends and fellow entertainers for the ceremony, with Snoop Dogg and Michaelproducer Graham King serving as guest speakers. Several familiar faces were also present, including Larenz Tate, Morris Chestnut, Mike Epps and Terrence Howard.
Snoop Dogg Celebrates Nia Long’s Impact
Snoop Dogg used his appearance to highlight Long’s influence beyond her acting résumé, describing her as an important figure in Black entertainment and culture.
The rapper also brought some humor to the celebration while acknowledging Long’s longtime status as a fan favorite. Snoop and Long share a friendship that stretches back decades, and Long previously attended his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2018.
For the occasion, Snoop wore a custom jacket featuring images celebrating Long’s career. Long thanked him during her remarks and spoke about their longtime friendship and his continued support for her family.
More Than Three Decades in Hollywood
Long’s career includes memorable performances in films and television projects such as Boyz n the Hood, Friday, Love Jones, The Best Man and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Those roles helped establish her as one of the most recognizable actresses of her generation.
Her latest major role came as Katherine Jackson in the Michael Jackson biopic Michael. Long has also completed work on Netflix’s upcoming romantic drama Don’t Ever Wonder, which reunites her with Love Jones co-star Larenz Tate. She serves as an executive producer on the project as well.
Nia Long Honors Her Family
During her Walk of Fame speech, Long reflected heavily on the people who helped her reach the milestone, particularly her mother, Talita Long.
Long recalled walking along Hollywood Boulevard with her mother as a child and looking at the names embedded in the sidewalk. Years later, her own name now joins them. She also recognized her sons and the generations of family members and women who supported her throughout her journey.
The ceremony represented more than another Hollywood accomplishment for Long.
